Mutant X Discussion

Wow, hasn't been any posts here for quite a while! Let's see if we can remedy the situation...

I'm a fairly new fan of Mutant X. In fact, at the time of the last post here, I hadn't even heard of it! I've really come to like it though.

Made some Mutant X icons! Or should I say, some Mason Eckhart icons, since I’m too lazy to take screenshots and he’s the only character I already had pics of. Also, he’s the best. :P

Hope no one minds my posting them here!

Hello and welcome! Thank you for sharing your icons; Mason's one of my favorite characters too. :)

It's a shame he was really only in the first series. And I almost cried when he 'left' in series 3.

I'm guessing Ashlocke is your favourite?

Yes, I have a singular fondness in villains, who can, at times, be more interesting characters than their heroic counterparts. I also wish that Mason Eckhart could have had a longer lifetime to fulfill his goals, and that Gabriel Ashlocke had been explored in more depth rather than scrapped and subsequently resurrected on the show Heroes. But that's another story...

How did you discover Mutant X? Is the show still on in Australia?

I assume you're refering to Sylar? Ironically, I just started watching Heroes on DVD around the same time I made these icons!

My dad found the series 1 + 2 DVDs down at a second hand store and thought someone in the family might watch them. They were foreign regions so I could only watch them on the family TV, which was annoying but after I realised how much I liked about 8 episodes in (and about 2 months -.- Everyone uses that TV) I discovered that they were releasing all 3 series on DVD in Australia! I went out and bought them as soon as they came out. ^_^

Sadly, it's not on TV.

What about you?

Congrats on finding all three seasons on DVD! Like you, I was a relative latecomer to the show, since I didn't begin watching until the beginning of the third season. It's almost hard to believe that it's been off the air for so many years now.

Yep, I'm thinking of Sylar. I've seen the first two seasons of Heroes on DVD too, and was happy to see all the references to Mutant X strewn here and there.

I think I like Heroes a LOT more now then the first time I watched it. Seeing Mutant X has made the struggle of mutants a lot more interesting to me.

Also, Sylar = awesome. If it were up to me he'd have his own show.
